ATLANTA, May 9, 2022 – Global fintech PR and marketing firm York Public Relations, announced today that its Founder and CEO Mary York was named to this year’s “Most Powerful Women in Fintech” by PROGRESS in Lending for the second consecutive year.

In its fourth year, PROGRESS in Lending recognized the top 35 women reshaping financial services. In addition to being named to both the 2021 and 2022 lists, York was also named to PROGRESS in Lending’s 2020 Sales, Marketing & PR Trailblazers award.

In 2020, York launched York Public Relations, one of the fastest-growing fintech PR and marketing firms serving fintechs both domestically and globally. Since launching, the firm has worked with nearly 50 fintechs across the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia, ranging from pre-revenue startups; to global fintechs nearing the $1 billion unicorn startup status; to established, privately-held companies.

“The fintech industry continues to see record growth, with global funding more than doubling last year from the previous year,” said York. “There are more fintechs today than ever, all competing for greater brand recognition and awareness. As a result, we are growing quickly, as more fintechs partner with us to support their brands. I am proud of what our team has accomplished and honored to be named again among the industry’s outstanding fintech women.”

The firm’s clients collectively raised nearly $200 million in capital funding last year. Total fintech funding in the U.S. climbed 171% to $62.9B for the year and the number of deals ticked up 42% to 1,827. In response to demand, York Public Relations added several new service divisions last year, including Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing and Creative Marketing, which have all experienced strong growth.
