About Mary York
Mary York is CEO of York Public Relations and a recognized fintech expert. With nearly 20 years of experience and a 100% success rate, she has mitigated numerous fintech crises, ranging from high-profile investigations and lawsuits, as well as regulatory disputes. She has also led the strategic direction for dozens of fintechs to increase brand awareness.
As a result of her work, she has supported several companies through successful acquisitions, totaling over $1 billion. Mary has also supported fintechs and financial services firms increase profitability, taking one company from $1 million to $15 million in equity in five years.
Mary is a member of the Forbes Communications Council, where she shares industry insights among senior-level public relations executives. She is regularly quoted by industry media including American Banker, CU Management, The Financial Brand and others on PR and marketing strategies.
Mary earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Kennesaw State University, where she frequently lectures. She also earned her certification from Emory on Business Negotiations. Mary has studied with top officials from Emory, the CDC and Southwest Airlines, as well as the former press secretary for the Royal Family and the former Chief of Staff to Princess Diana. She has also worked with state and federal officials, including the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
Mary currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for Atlanta-based nonprofit, National Alliance Against Home Repair Fraud, endorsed by American Red Cross, FEMA and Habitat for Humanity.
When she’s not working, Mary enjoys finding new breweries and gardening. She is a strong advocate for exploring personal interests, graduating from culinary school to expand her knowledge of the cooking arts. She is also a member of her neighborhood’s kickball league.
About Michael Misoyianis
Michael Misoyianis is CFO and COO of York Public Relations. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, he was previously the CFO for Atlanta-based William Mills Agency, where he not only oversaw the firm’s financial activities, but also held additional responsibilities, including HR and IT. Mike held prior finance roles at Convergent Media Systems and In-Zone, Inc.
As a member of the firm’s executive team, Mike brings a unique and invaluable perspective to York Public Relations. Combining his more than two decades of finance and HR work with over 16 years with a fintech communications firm, he provides exceptional service to the financial services industry. He precisely understands the financial landscape and the requirements of financial services organizations, while holding the knowledge necessary for solid PR and communication guidance, but through a humanized, empathetic approach.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from West Virginia University’s College of Business and Economics. He also studied accounting at Georgia State University.
Originally from Vincentown, New Jersey, Mike is an avid hockey player, loves boating in Southwest Florida and enjoys exploring new craft beers.
